We may be approaching the end of 2015 but fear not, we’re not resting on our laurels when it comes to bringing you some great events, from Meet the Brewers to Beer Speed Dating. Below we’ve rounded them up into one convenient package, but don’t forget to keep an eye on our events page for full listings.

We Brought Beer Homebrew Club – Tuesday 17th November

We’ll be hosting our first Homebrew Club event at our new Clapham Junction shop on Tuesday 17th November, the first meeting of what we hope will become London’s greatest homebrew club. All these meetings are free and will be held monthly.

Award-winning home brewers Chris and Emma, otherwise known as the Crema Brewery, will be leading the sessions, providing insight into the brewing process so if you’re new to brewing, this is the perfect place to start. On the flip side, if you’re already an experienced brewer, this is a great chance to meet new people and perhaps even learn a few new tricks as well!

If you want to attend, please RSVP to homebrew@webroughtbeer.co.uk so that we have a rough idea of numbers that will be attending. Arrive at 7pm for a 7:30pm kickoff, this is going to be pretty exciting!

We Brought Sambrook’s Brewery – Wednesday 18th November

We are beyond excited to be hosting one of the first of the new wave London breweries at our Balham shop on Wednesday 18th November.

Duncan Sambrook opened his brewery in London at a time when almost no one else could or would. This is a great chance to try beer styles that have been a staple of British brewing for years alongside more recent additions that have enjoyed success thanks to influence from America and other places.

There’ll be a selection of beers from their original range and their newer, American inspired, range as well. Tickets are £5.00 and include a 15% discount on all purchases made on the night. Head over to our events page to book your place.

We Brought And Union… Again – Wednesday 18th November

A blast from the past, And Union was one of the very first Meet the Brewers we hosted, back when they were Brewers and Union. This time it will be held in the Clapham Junction shop.

From the beginning, they have been incredibly popular with customers. Their Unfiltered Lager is a great demonstration of what you can do with a full-flavoured lager and a little TLC, and their Steph Weiss is our best-selling wheat beer. Join us as we welcome them back in what is sure to be a delicious night.

Tickets are £5.00 and available here. As ever, this includes all tasters and 15% off all purchases made on the night.

Live Homebrew Demo – Saturday 21st November

As an extension to our homebrew club on Tuesday 17th, we’ll be hosting Crema Brewery in our tasting room throughout the day where they’ll be doing a live brew. If you’re unable to make our Tuesday session, or loved it so much you want to see more, then this is a great opportunity to see and chat to two people at the forefront of the home brewing scene. It’s also the perfect opportunity for beginners to get to grips with the equipment that is needed and the process of actually brewing a beer.

The live brew will kick off around midday and continue until 5ish. This is a drop-in drop-out session, no commitment needed, just come along and stick around for however long suits you.

We Brought Beer “Speed Dating” – Thursday 26th November

We’ve decided to take the concept of speed dating and apply it to beer. You’ll get to blind taste six different beers, all different styles, from six different breweries.

Throughout the evening you will be in group of three, changing groups with each new beer, giving you a chance to chat with everyone about what you’re drinking. This event is all about new beer and new friends. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer drinker, or just learning your gose from your gueuze, this is the perfect opportunity to meet new people and learn more about beer.

Tickets for this event are £17.50 which include all the tasters on the night. If you want to attend, follow this link to the event page.

We Brought Gipsy Hill… Again – Wednesday 9th December

Gipsy Hill opened up a couple of months after we did, and since then we’ve pretty much constantly had them in stock, and flying off the shelves. Since our last MTB with them, they’ve released four new beers, the incredibly well received Yuzu and their more recent Hepcat IPA, Six O’Clock Swill NZ IPA, and Bounder Best Bitter.

Since the first event with them was a storming success, we’d thought we’d invite them back again – just this time it’d be in our new Clapham Junction branch. Having had Balham fall in love with their beers, we’re confident the residents of Clapham Junction will.

Tickets for this event cost £5.00, and are available here.
