For those of you who have not been following us as closely, We Brought Beer now has two shops: one in Balham and our recently opened Clapham Junction site. Whatever shop you choose, you’re sorted because our two shop managers – Rob Beattie at Clapham Junction and Robert Chipchase over at Balham – both know and love their beer.

Given the wide selection of beers We Brought Beer offers (over 400, that is), we decided to ask the Robs for a few recommendations. Here are their favourite beers currently in stock.

Robert “Chippy” Chipchase

Rodenbach Original

This is a Flemish red, easily one of my favourite beer styles. It’s got a great, vinuous taste to it and a really nice, sharp tartness.

Stone Triple IPA Ruinten

This is a really incredible beer, released to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their Stone Ruination IPA. The taste is amazing and distinct, really over the top, hop-forward and tropical.

Cloudwater DIPA

Cloudwater’s first double IPA, released for Double IPA Day (7 November), is really flavoursome with loads of new world hops (8 specifically).

Rob Beattie

Oskar Blues G’knight Imperial Red Ale

This is one of my favourite American breweries and by far my favourite style of beers. The big hop forward flavour compliments the massive malt body perfectly, giving it a dank and impressive complexity.

Partizan Dubbel Winter

A beer that I absolutely loved last year is back! It has had time to mature and become even better this time around. It’s a beautiful amber with just the right amount of spice. This is easily one of the best beers for the cold winter months.

Buxton Wyoming Sheep Ranch

Big, bold and hoppy! My favourite of Buxton’s ever growing range of beers, with its perfect malt base and its explosive hop taste it’s definitely a beer to get the evening started.
