Variety is the spice of life and in our world that means new beers! This week we brought you over 20 new beers, including some insanely special sharers. Here’s a run down of some of the bigger new arrivals in store.
Brooklyn Black Ops
ABV: 10.5%

A very special beer and one not often seen on these shores, Black Ops is a imperial Russian stout aged in bourbon barrels before being refermented with champagne yeast. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, this beer has is it all.

Brooklyn Local 1
ABV: 9%
Another sharer from Brooklyn Brewery, Local 1 is a strong Belgian Ale, brewed in the traditional way. Pouring a crisp golden colour, Local 1 has a full depth of flavour and character due to it being 100% bottle refermented, a practise now rare even in Belgium itself. Complete with champagne cork, this is the perfect beer to take to your next dinner party.
Wild Beer Yadokai
ABV: 14%

Yadokai is inspired by all things Japanese. It was brewed with the Hanging Bat Brewery (Edinburgh), Blackfriars restaurant and bar (Glasgow) and Masterchef winner and Tim Anderson. The aim was to create a saki-style beer and utilises ingredients such as Hijiki and Yuzu as well as sea buckthorn, to give it a little bit of Scotland. Quite frankly, yum yum!

Brew By Numbers 01/08
ABV: 5.5%

Another addition to Brew By Number’s signature saison range. BBNO 01/08 is brewed with lemon peel and wai-iti hops from New Zealand meaning this is citrusy, zesty & complex. This is not the first time this has been brewed by BBNO and it was voted one of Beercast’s top beers of 2014.
