Christmas dinner has just finished digesting, hangovers are subsiding from New Years and we’re restocking the shelves! Whilst #dryanuary (or #dryjanuary or whatever silly hashtag is being used) may be trending on Twitter, we all know the truth, which is that a month of no drinking is fine, but sensible drinking throughout the year is better. As you guys have proven, there’s still a desire for deliciousness throughout the opening month of the year, and we’ve responded by filling our shelves with a whole host of new brews.

From Cloudwater up in Manchester, we’ve got five brand spanking new 750ml special releases! We have their three Biere Bruts each aged in different barrels. The Champagne of beer, these have been brewed with Saison and Champagne yeasts to provide a dry, highly carbonated finish, and then separately aged separately in Francois, Damy and Sequin wine barrels. Next up is their BA Chocolate Porter and finally we’ve got their collaboration with ToOl, Christmas Cake, also available in the larger format.

Talking of ToOl (great segueing!), we’ve got six cracking cans from them! Returning from the Sur range of dry-hopped sour beers we’ve got Sur Mosaic and Citra, whilst Sur Centennial is making its debut this week in our three shops. In smaller can packages we now have Reparationsbajer and Totem Pale Ale, both of which are gluten free, whilst the Garden of Eden IPA may not be gluten free, but is jam-packed full of apricots, guava, papaya, passionfruit and mango to give you all of your five a day in one small, neat package.
Another brilliant Danish brewery also now have six new cans on our shelves. Mikkeller’s single-hop series has become a golden standard within the beer world for showing off different hops at their absolute best. They’ve taken it a step further in this canned range series by brewing their single-hop IPAs to session strength, normal IPA strength and IIPA strength. We’re now stocking the Mosaic SIPA, IPA and IIPA as well as their Citra SIPA, IPA and IIPA. These are two of the rockstar hops of the beer world, and fully deliver on flavour and show you don’t need 10 different hops to create amazing hop-forward beers.
And one final Danish brewery we’ve got some brand new beers in from is the awesome Amager. They’ve returned with their Todd the Axeman collaboration with America’s Surly, whilst we have two new IPAs, Granny with a Gun and Building Bridges, as well as Sloth, their Simcoe Pale Ale.
Finally, in from Verdant Brewing down in Cornwall have returned to our shelves with their Bloom IPA and Headband Pale Ale. These guys are taking the UK scene by storm, and so we’ll always endeavour to grab their latest releases which is why we can’t wait to try their latest beer. Roy, I Want A Hilux is their latest juicy pale ale which gives big fruity bitterness with a pillowy mouthfeel. Finally, a collaboration between Magic Rock and Cloudwater is hitting our 500ml can shelf. These two breweries got together and produced an incredibly hazy IIPA called Big Dipper. Limited stock, so make sure you don’t miss out!
