June is shaping up to be a pretty exciting month of events here at We Brought Beer as we work to bring you something different every Wednesday evening!
Let’s kick things off with some details about our free beer tastings.
Wednesday 3rd June : Redwell Brewery
Although Norwich is a thriving beer city, it has long been dominated by Adnams and Greene King. Modern craft beer produced in the city had been limited until Redwell Brewery opened up in 2013. Focusing on lagers and American influenced craft beers, Redwell are one of the UK’s most exciting young breweries.
We’ve been stocking their steam lager in can for a while now and have enjoyed a few of their kegs on growler fill but we’re delighted to be able to welcome their marketing manager Nate Southwood to We Brought Beer to give us the full lowdown on the beers, the brewery and all things Redwell.
Orbit Brewery joined the London craft beer scene in 2014, housed in a railway arch just up the road in Kennington. Rather than just producing the same old styles & beers as other brewers, Orbit have cut a different path and their range includes a Koln style lager, a Dusseldorf style altbier and a smokey rauchbier, as well as a couple of pale ales. This detour from the norm seems to be working for them and their beers are firm favourites here at We Brought Beer.
Brewery founder Robert Middleton loves his music almost as much as his beer and believes in doing things the right way. He’ll be coming on down to tell us about how he started the brewery, why he’s chosen to differentiate and answer any questions you might have.
